Thanks Leah,
Yeah that works. Is there a way I can get some sort of WYSIWYG view though?
I’m fine working as above but potential clients wont be.
Leah’s absolutely correct – the plugin was designed to be a lightweight tool without any bloat so there’s no admin panel, just easy to understand and simple to use shortcodes.
I initially built the plugin for my own projects and my clients don’t seem to have any problems adding and modifying tabs once they’ve been shown how to do this or have some documentation.
If you need a visual way to customise the colour scheme and dimensions of the tab groups sitewide, and also add icons to individual tabs, there is an optional customiser add-on available (this is mentioned on Tabby Responsive Tabs’s WordPress.org plugin page).
In addition to the admin panel to customise how the tabs display, the add-on also adds a pair of buttons to the visual editor which can help with inserting the [tabby] and [tabbyending] shortcodes.

Thanks both.
Cubecolour thanks for the input, it’s good to see a plugin author providing such active support.
I have the same problem.. in witch editor do i need to put that code?
The shortcodes work in both the text editor and the visual editor. If you copied and pasted example shortcodes from a website rather than typing them, there might be invisible characters which were used to prevent the shortcodes being processed. If this is the case you should try deleting the copied text and retyping it manually.
As this is a resolved topic, if you still have problems you should start a new topic at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tabby-responsive-tabs and provide as much information as possible including the shortcodes you have included and a link to the affected page on your site.
I purchased the customizer but do not see how to install it? I assume I am missing something pretty simple. Thanks.
Hi Rex I’ve responded to you via email as your question is about your purchase of the customiser add-on, rather than the free tabby plugin
