Support » Plugin: Subscribe2 » Installed 8.8; subscription form disappeared in Firefox

    I’m having a problem similar to what was reported in this thread earlier. I just upgraded to 8.8 and the form vanished from Firefox although it still appears in Internet Explorer and I can see it in Safari for iOS.

    In Safari, if I subscribe an address I get “a confirmation message is on its way”, but in IE when subscribing there’s no feedback at all; the page just refreshes itself and the form is gone. It looks like there should be a message there.

    I turned off the Ajax option like you recommended in the other thread and the form still hasn’t returned. Do you have any suggestions?

    @aloeroot,

    It’s very weird how it works fine in Safari, partially in IE but not at all in FF. That would seem to be a caching issue perhaps. Try force refreshing your browser and make sure to refresh any caching plugins running on your site (if you have them).

    What is the address of your site too? I can have a look from here with my browsers and see if the issue is re-producible or just affecting you.

    You’re quite right; it was a caching issue. Sorry about that.
    This is a great plugin; we’re using it on a job search site and I’m sure it’s doing a lot of good.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    @aloeroot,

    Caching catches me out many a time when I make subtle changes on my own sites, it is easily done.
