  • Resolved dtp2

    Installed the update this morning and my site goes blank with the error: There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    The message I receive from WordPress mentions this is caused because of this plugin.

    What happened?

    Oh no! Was there any more information you can share? An exact error message maybe? Do you know which version of the plugin was installed?

    Hi Jonathan, Thank you for your reply. Yesterday I updated this plugin to 0.3.2 and immediately my website went blank. Also the backend was no longer available. I had to use FTP to remove the plugin folder.

    Below some site details:

    WordPress version 5.3.2
    Current theme: Beaver Builder Child Theme (version 1.0)
    Current plugin: SearchWP Modal Search Form (version 0.3.2)
    PHP version 7.3.7

    Below error details:

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 184 of the file /home/grafischf1/domains/ Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_label() on array in /home/grafischf1/domains/
    Stack trace:
    #0 /home/grafischf1/domains/ searchwp_modal_form_get_forms()
    #1 /home/grafischf1/domains/ SearchWP_Modal_Form->register_block_type(”)
    #2 /home/grafischf1/domains/ WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array)
    #3 /home/grafischf1/domains/ WP_Hook->do_action(Array)
    #4 /home/grafischf1/domains/ do_action(‘init’)
    #5 /home/grafischf1/domains/ require_once(‘/home/grafischf…’)
    #6 /home/grafischf1/domains/

    The same thing happened to me with version 0.3.2 – I had to delete plug-in via FTP to get site back up!

    While this is being sorted out, is there a place I can download a copy of the previous version so I can restore search functionality asap?
