Installed 4.9.8 but have no user in DB

    Hi,

    I got following during install (german system)
    WordPress-Datenbank-Fehler: [Can’t create/write to file ‘/tmp/#sql_3e8_0.MAI’ (Errcode: 13 “Permission denied”)]
    SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM wp_options
    It is on ubuntu 18.04 / Apache / PHP 7.2 / ISPConfig 3.1

    The site is running but I have no user in the DB.

    When I add this manually what do I have to consider?

    Hello Ruitertje

    It looks like your permissions on /tmp are wrong. They really should be read/write/execute.

    Making the permissions to 777 might fix that.

    Hi,

    I changed the permissions on /etc
    I was a systemmanager for many years on all kind of systems (IBM/DEC/HP) but that a blog needs all rights on a system-directory is not exactly a sign of professionality.

    I will have to monitor the directory to be safe.

    The problem is resolved. It seems that some program changes the permissions on /tmp to 750 instead of 1777 in Linux. For now I run a script to check and put it back to the correct permissions and collect when it happens so I can find what is causing this.

    It is a plain Linux problem, I run ISPConfig as a Panel.

    WP is functioning now as expected.
