 * Hi, I’ve stacked in the middle of the installation process. I’m still waiting
   for the 2nd step to be finished. I’ve tried to reinstall the software, but I 
   still receive the same message “Now we’re going to create the database tables
   and fill them with some default data”. From phpMyAdmin I can see that the database
   structure is finished, but I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do further?

 * You should be getting a success screen with the login url, password. What versions
   on php / mysql are you using or which host ?

 * MySQL 4.1.13 and php 4.4.1? I think that this version should be fine for WordPress?!

 * I had the same problem. It turns out I didn’t have sendmail installed. The install
   script failed on the wp_mail function call right after the sprintf statement,
   which calls the PHP mail function. I had to install sendmail, then recompile 
   PHP, then recompile Apache.
