# Installation problem – running the install script

 * Hi,
 * I am trying to install WordPress for the company I work for on a virtual server
   here that the IT dept have set up.
 * I have gone through the install process as described on the WordPress site (i.
   e. download and unzip wordpress package, create MySQL database, set up wp-config
   file, upload WordPress files to server) and have now got to the stage of trying
   to run the WordPress installation script.
 * I’m not sure what to put as the URL to start the install.php file. I have tried
   the following (the blog will be within the QMSBlog dir):
 * [http://localhost/QMSBlog/wp-admin/install.php](http://localhost/QMSBlog/wp-admin/install.php)
 * but get “page cannot be displayed” error.
 * I have tried various variations such as entering the ip address of the server
   and the server name instead of localhost but get the same problem.
 * Could anyone help me with this?
