# Installation problem at bytehost

 * I am trying to install wordpress at bytehost.
    I followed this tutorial. [http://www.maxblogtips.com/how-to-install-wordpress-in-byethost-free-host/](http://www.maxblogtips.com/how-to-install-wordpress-in-byethost-free-host/)
 * I used filezilla to upload the contents of wordpress folder to htdocs folder.
   Then when I went install.php nothing happens.
 * I used the proper username passwords in wp-config-sample.php (and then renamed
   the file)
 * Note: using filezilla, during upload to htdocs a prompt came several times “File
   exists”. This prompt cam efor several files . So i checked “overwrite if source
   is newer”.
 * Also there were 4 failed transfers at the end. But I used the option ” reset 
   and try again”
 * So any idea why the install is not happening?

 * Well the above tutorial worked fine for me.
    try to follow all the steps.

 * I have uploaded WordPress to bytehost via FileZilla, logged into the cPanel X,
   but I am getting “Error establishing a database connection” when I go to the 
   wp-login.php, despite having the correct details in the correct details in wp-
   config.php Do I need to activate anything?
