# installation problem

 * I’ve been trying to install a wordpress on a domain with no success.
    Many time
   after the first step of install the second step was giving a “Not found page”.
   After trying for a long time i managed to installed the blog but it was not in
   the direct domain but it’s adding an ending like: [http://www.domain.com?step=2](http://www.domain.com?step=2)
 * The blog layout is really messed up and I can not log in as it redirect to [http://www.venice08.com/?step=2/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.venice08.com](http://www.venice08.com/?step=2/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.venice08.com)
 * I checked and PHP and MySQL is working on this host.
 * Not sure how to procede on, if deleating everything and installing a previous
   version or I could fix it somehow.

 * You have the wrong 2 url values in the db because of the server hanging.

 * I believe I have the same problem, checked your solution, did indeed have trailing
   slashes there, but it has not resolved the issue. Curious if this has fixed for
   Ailadi. More info here if you please.

 * My issue was a host issue by concentric hosting (XO communications). They basically
   support installation of WP 2.2 and upgrading to WP 2.6 requires significant modification
   on their part of the wp-settings.php file.
 * I had to use XO’s professional support team and pay them to fix this. They were
   quite aware of the issue, knew the fix, and fixed it immediately. If you are 
   using them as a host and are having this problem, contact me and I’ll email you
   the adjusted file (and you won’t have to pay for it).
 * It’s too big to post here I believe.
