# Installation problem

 * Hello, when I want to install the plugin, it puts me this:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in C:\Users\user\Downloads\InstantWP_4.5\
   iwpserver\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\wp-discord\includes\class-wp-discord-
   guild.php on line 43
 * Help me please 🙂

 * This is the first time an error has been reported on activation.
 * Looks like you’re using [http://www.instantwp.com](http://www.instantwp.com)
 * Correct?
 * I will need to install and test against it when I get the chance.
 * Have you tried both installation methods?
 * (Through plugin search OR the download and upload method)

 * Yes I use instantwp and I tried to install with both methods but the problem 
   happens in any case.
 * The problem comes from instantwp ?

 * It could always be a conflicting plugin, theme, php version, WordPress version.
 * Any of those details would be helpful if you know them.
 * Hard to know for sure. I will need to test Instantwp and if I’m able to replicate
   your error Maybe I can figure out a fix.

 * I use : InstantWP 4.5 with WordPress 4.7.2 / Apache/2.2.15 (Win32) / PHP/5.3.2/
   MySQL 5.6.25 / Theme “hueman”

 * Hi i am getting a similar error on trying to activate as detailed:-

   wp-content/plugins/wp-discord/includes/class-wp-discord-guild.php on line 43
 * Im using 4.7.2 Theme ifeature pro 5
 * Any help greatly appreciated.

 * After doing some testing I have discovered that this is an issue with PHP version
   5.3 and below.
