    Hi there,

I’m using duplicator to create a local copy of my live site on my localhost.

I have tried to clone 2 different installations on my localhost machine, both with the same error.

When I clone a site, the installation process is working fine, but after the installation is finished, the site is not reachable.

All I get is: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET on the timed out screen.

The localhost environment is working fine with raw php or a fresh WP installation.

The error log’s of the installation do not show any significant errors.
I do get a notice, that some table names contain uppercases, which is coming from the WordFence Plugin. In my opinion this is not the cause of the problem.

I’m using secureWAMP to simulate a webserver on my local machine.

(I would like to do all this in order to have a working copy, and not fiddle on the live system).

Thank you for any hints how I can solve this.

    Regards

    Toby

  • Hey Toby,

On step 2 of the installer under advanced options you can disable all plugins. You might try this to see if one of the plugins is causing issues. As far the table case that can cause issues if mysql is not configured successfully.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Cory,

Thank you very much for your fast reply. It did not know this option and I will try it tomorrow morning and give you some feedback.

    Great plugin, great support 🙂

    Thank you

I did not find the button, but I simply deactivated all plugins by hand by renaming the entire folder. Then it’s possible to login and everything works fine. Easy solution, too dumb from me.

    Thanks a lot, nice weekend.

On second step of installer there is a hyper-linked titled “Advanced Options” if you click it then you will see a list of all the plugins, maybe useful next time you try…

    Cheers~
