# Installation Localhost not found

 * Hi guys I installed MAMP and wordpress but when trying to open the start page
   then it redirects me to localhost not found and it searches yahoo.
 * Any suggestions advice?
    I tried to re-install and install but did not work.

 * What is the URL you are using to try to access the “start page”?
 * With a default installation of MAMP, the localhost is accessed with:
 * `http://localhost:8888`
 * And if you installed WP in a folder within htdocs, within MAMP, then you access
   it with:
 * `http://localhost:8888/folder_name`
 * Also, are both servers running?
