Installation Localhost not found

    Hi guys I installed MAMP and wordpress but when trying to open the start page then it redirects me to localhost not found and it searches yahoo.

    Any suggestions advice?
    I tried to re-install and install but did not work.

    What is the URL you are using to try to access the “start page”?

    With a default installation of MAMP, the localhost is accessed with:

    http://localhost:8888

    And if you installed WP in a folder within htdocs, within MAMP, then you access it with:

    http://localhost:8888/folder_name

    Also, are both servers running?
