  • You’re going to need to post some specifics of what your problem is, what errors you’re getting and so on.

It is not reading the php. It is a problem like the one listed <A HREF="">here</A>

My host is not reading the php it is all coming out as code on my browser.

I need to know how to put the wordpress files into the specific folder that it needs to go into. I am using a mac with osx tiger and filezilla and cyberduck for ftp and firefox as my browser.

    Thanks Adam

Okay, then, your host needs to enable index.php as a viable index file maybe?

You can’t say that on your server. You’re being censored.

    sorry, couldn’t resist.

    *snicker* Um. Okay….

Does the host meet the minimum requirements?

The minimum requirements are met by the host.

Did you check with them to make sure they have index.php enabled as a viable index file? Have you checked to be sure there’s not an index.html file in the root folder or whichever folder wp is installed in?

Well, I can’t see the faq page as it requires member login, but if you’ve uploaded wp you have an index.php page already. If you create another one, wp won’t work period – it has to have the index page it comes with.

Did you check with your host tech support about the problem?

Thanks for the help. I’m gonna contact the host for help next.

Well, let us know how it goes. Hope they can help you get the index file problem sorted out!

Following all step-by-step instructions has made my use of nearlyfreespeech problem-free.

Did you skip a step either from them in setting up the SQL tables or from WordPress in how to do a clean install?
