 * Hello,
 * I’m having trouble getting the wp menu to recognize that I have placed this plugin
   in my plugin folder. I’m not exactly sure why it won’t display. Any help would
   be appreciated!

 * Why not just install it via your wp-admin > Plugins > Add New option. Otherwise
   I really can’t begin to help you as I have no control over why on your site you
   have uploaded the file. Nor have you provided any information like are you maybe
   running Multisite, etc.
