[Resolved] Installation Error: “No such file or directory”

  • I’m trying to install WordPress, but I keep getting this error when I try to install:

Warning: require_once(/home/shorter1/public_html//wp-includes/classes.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/shorter1/public_html/wp-load.php on line 46

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any ideas?

    (My url is http://www.short-version.com, fyi)

Try re-uploading the wp-includes folder from a fresh download of WordPress.

I’ve followed the instructions for install up to point 4 where it says “upload everything”. Excuse my ignorance but how do I do that?

Then by typing wp-admin/install.php in into my browser i get the following message =

    The address is not valid

    Most likely causes:
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

    What you can try:
    Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

    Anyone help please?

That was it; I’m installed. Thanks so much!
