# Installation Error

 * Hello.
 * I’ve followed the instructions for installing, I seem to be connected with the
   database
 * however I’m getting this message for all pages:
 * > Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in C:\Sites\Single49\jhjr\webroot\
   > v1\blog\wp-includes\general-template.php on line 1034
 * I have reuploaded all the files to the server just to be sure, but still I get
   this message. Any advice?

 * Try just uploading that one file, wp-includes/general-template.php to see if 
   that helps.
 * If it doesn’t fix the problem, delete and reupload the files.
 * If that doesn’t work, let us know the host you are using.
 * Also, where in the installation process is the error (or did it install okay?).

 * Even though you’ve already done so, you might want to delete and reupload the
   wordpress files.

 * I’ve now reinstalled wordpress 2.3, then reuploaded it to my server and still
   this message displays.
