    hello guys,

I bought some webspace on 1&1 and wanted to do the hosting via
wordpress. I tried a lot and now the installation is complete, the database in 1&1 is connected to wordpress. But I still can’t see
my homepage. I even changed themes in wordpress and the page stays blank. I even can’t see a preview of the themes in wordpress itself.

In a phone call with the 1&1 support they said everything was alrigt on their site, it’s just the case that there seems to be a problem with the index.php and index.html sites. They told me there should be a function to turn the homepage online (like an activate button or something) in wordpress. I hope somebody can help!

    my site: wort4wort.de

  • wanted to do the hosting via wordpress.

WordPress.org has no hosting option for general users. You want to say – ‘I want to self host wordpress software’. The hosting is rented by you from 1&1.

wort4wort.de is pointing to their default webpage. Delete / rename any index.html webpage from FTP at root of your domain’s folder.
