    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for the plugin!

I’m not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I can’t find it and a lot of the comments are too technical for me!

I installed the plugin and updated all the Amazon IDs but when i click on a link the page still loads the one (I also set the default to be .COM). I’m currently in Germany and I’m guessing that it should automatically load the .de site. Am I missing something?

I was previously using another plugin but it only worked on Text Links (so when I clicked on a link, it opened the .de). I have a shop on my site and a few banners which are iframes and from what I can see yours is the only plugin out there that should work with these ads right?

can I email you the blog I’m talking about or should I just paste it here?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for trying the plugin, I guess you have installed the ip2nation database on the settings screen, and selected the ‘Localise Amazon Link’ setting? Without this it should still default to serving links to, so something is not right.

e-mail a link to your site to amazon-link (A) or try posting here.

    Hey Paul,

Thanks for the immediate response! I’ve emailed you the pages.

    Thanks again

Just to summarise how to get link localisation to work:

    1. Install the plugin
    2. Install the ip2nation database using the button at the bottom of the Options section on the Amazon Link Settings page
    3. Enable the ‘localise link’ setting on the Amazon Link Settings page
    4. Join the Affiliate programmes for all locales
    5. Add your affiliate IDs from those locales into the default channel in the ‘Amazon Tracking ID’s’ section on the Amazon Link Settings page
    6. Use the ‘Add Amazon Link’ helper to add Amazon Link shortcodes to your posts and pages of the form [amazon asin=0123456789&template=iframe image]

The plugin does not currently localise existing standard Amazon links, iframes or javascript provided from the Amazon site. Something for the next version perhaps!

    Good luck with your site,
