Support » Plugin: PIKLIST | Rapid development framework » Install Piklist on OS X XAMPP localhost?

  • Resolved bl1nktank

Haven’t done this in a while and it seems to have changed quite a bit. Freshly installed OS X 10.8.5, then XAMPP, the phonebook test XAMPP app doesn’t work which I’ve never come across before in my years of using XAMPP on Windows and Mac… but I don’t care, apparently the code for that demo isn’t kept up to date… Anyway… I’ve also installed Piklist quite a few times to play around with it in different environments, and this is the first time in my memory (which sucks) that I’m being asked for a hostname, FTP username and FTP password (and connection type) to install the plugin in my WP installation. I don’t have an FTP user/pass, so I left localhost (and FTP for Connection Type) and pressed “Proceed” and it just reloads that page.

What do I do to install Piklist right now.

@ bl1nktank– Just download Piklist from the main plugin page, by clicking on the red “Download version” button. Once downloaded, unzip, and move to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

This process will work for any WordPress plugin.
