• I am trying to install WP 2.6 on a windows server and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what the problem is.

So for starters, I grab myself the latest copy off of wordpress.org, extract all the files/folders (excluding the wordpress folder) to the root of my site.

I then browse to wp-admin/install.php and immediately can tell the stylesheets are loading, etc… aka it doesn’t look “pretty”.

So there is something with WP wanting to hit the root of the site versus the folder all these files reside in. So for example purposes, lets say I have a folder called “majorchamp” which resides on http://1.1.1.1/majorchamp/wp-admin/install.php

Well, on that page, the stylesheet is trying to load from 1.1.1.1, not majorchamp

What configuration issue would I be having on the windows server that would cause this?

Here is a copy of the source code I was able to get from the windows server when running the PHP Info command.

All of this is jargon to me: http://btk.name/misc/info_static.html

    Any help?

    Thanks,
    Bryan

This path issue also affects the true installation, since it balks on step2.php
