 * I have a new issue. First question is that I used Godaddy Host connection to
install WordPress and I use “www.nestinvestors.com” as the root directory. Should
I change that in order to upload the new template, because after I FTP the file
it’s not giving me the option to select the theme from the “design” menu, what
   should I do?

 * You just upload the theme to your themes folder (/wp-content/themes) and make
sure you don’t have “nested folders” (/wp-content/themes/**themename/themename**)
then things should be just fine.

 * Ok, so in other words I just need to set up the directory folders and leave the
folders empty, because if I used host connection to set up wordpress all I need
to do is point my files to the folders? Would that be a safe assumption?

 * Actually no. How did you get the WP files on your server? I only know the FTP-
way myself. In any case, when you download and unzip the WP file, you will already
have folders, such as /wp-admin or /wp-content and subfolders such as /wp-content/
themes. When you put the WP pack on your server, the folders will automatically
be there (that is to say: you uploaded them yourself). When you look on your
server (with FTP or the file manager of your control panel), you can see the
   WP folders, right?

 * Im just going to use Root in place of “www.nestinvestors.com”.
 * The folders you should see as soon as you open the ftp connection should be :
    1. images
        included wp-admin wp-content wp-includes
 * And a whole bunch of other junk. Open the folder “Content”. Open the folder “
Themes”. Make a new folder in here, and for now lets name it “Example”.
 * So, it would be (including root for fun) Root/Wp-Content/Themes/Example. You
HAVE to have a few things in order for your theme to appear. You need :
    1. index.php (note the small case “i” on index..)
        style.css
 * If these things are NOT in the directory, your theme aint showin up bub.

 * Well Gangleri I uploaded wordpress using godaddy “Host Connection” and they automatically
uploaded it to my computer. However the root directory is “www.nestinvestors.
com.” This is were I get lost, because it then after, gives me this page to modify
   my directory [CLICK HERE](http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory),
at this point this is when I try to modify it and as you can see Konzine, that’s
when I get all that junk and start from starch again.

 * My suggestion.
 * Get an FTP handling software, like fireftp for mozilla.
 * Download a fresh, brand spanking new .zip’d WordPress.
 * Empty the contents of the .Zip, to a folder on your Desktop.
 * Take everything INSIDE the folder on the desktop (So you want to be grabbing
all that “junk” we were talking about before) and drag it INTO your root directory.
 * THEN! Go through the install process again.
 * Once installed, upload a theme as stated in my previous post.
 * Go to your Admin tools, change the theme, have wordpress and then somehow profit.
