1. What ‘s the URL NOW? (e.g., http://example.com…)

2. What’s the URL you want users to type? (e.g., http://example.com…)

– To have a site work from root or move from example.com/wp to just example.com: See http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install
Or, if you don’t have any content right now, delete the WordPress install and install in the root directory either manually or with your hosts Cpanel.
