Support » Localhost Installs » Install GoDaddy SSL Certificates – on-premise/self-hosted

  • Hi all,

Hoping someone can help as I do not have that much of development experience. I just manage the maintenance of the physical server and maintaining that the website is up and is viewable in the internet. No development experience but knowledgeable in following technical instructions.

Currently I want to remove the “Not Secure” icon found in the popular browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Chromium, Mozilla Firefox, etc.)

The WordPress is currently hosted on-premise/self hosted environment in our datacenter. The website is up and running but customers/clients are seeing the “Not Secure”.

I have been reading manuals from the internet and I purchased a GoDaddy Standard SSL.

GoDaddy has verified the TXT records from our local DNS provider. SSL certificate is now available with me but I do not know how to install it.

Note that my local DNS provider only resolves the public IP address and the verification of the TXT records.

GoDaddy provided me with the following files
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx62.crt
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx62.pem
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxx1.crt

    I am using Windows Server 2012 R2 with WAMPSERVER64 3.0.0 and WordPress 5.7.1

This website has been created by another provider back in 2016, and is now being developed by another developing provider for enhancing the contents of the website.

    Thank you.
