install fails

Hi,

I’ve tried installing WordPress on my computer using the Microsoft Web Platform Installer.

At the beginning of the download phase it had asked for a password so I put one in.

Everything seemed to download ok but when it got to the install phase, an error message said ” . . the specified password for user account ‘root’ is not valid . . “

I’m a total newby to WordPress, so I don’t know what’s gone wrong. Can anyone help me?
