• I’ve been working on a new wordpress site design whilst leaving my html site up and running.

I published a page, set up a redirection plugin and now I can’t log on at all to my wordpress site. I’m getting a ‘Http error 404 not found’. I’m not sure the plugin worked as I got an error message ‘Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in E:\Domains\t\toponlinecasino.tv\user\htdocs\wp-content\plugins\redirection\models\group.php on line 70 and defined inE:\Domains\t\toponlinecasino.tv\user\htdocs\wp-includes\wp-db.php on line 990’

I then change the url in the general settings as stated elsehwere and now getting the 404 error message. I tried to change it back and still getting the same error message.

WordPress is installed in the root directory and I did not want to delete the html files, just redirect. I was also told I should consider a mod rewrite script? If so, where would I put this?

Can anyone help me point out where I have gone wrong with this installation and point my in the direction of what I can do next?

    Thanks

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
