# install error: more than one script?

 * I am using CPanel | Fantastico to install WP in the root directory of a subdomain,
   but I get this error message:
 * You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.
 * I had previously attempted an installation in that directory and removed it –
   the right way.
 * The root directory of the main domain name does not have a blog or a script-based
   CMS or anything like that, so I don’t think it’s confused between sub- and main
   domain folders.
 * Anyone know how to fix this?

 * Someday I will try a manual install, but for now, I don’t feel I know enough 
   about how it works to try it. Actually, what do I have to lose? Maybe I’ll try
   it–and I’m sure somewhere on this site I’ll find written directions, too.
 * But in the meantime, if anyone knows the easy fix, I’d be happy to use that for
   now.
