# Install again – files lost, database ok

 * Hello. My blog/server was victim to a hacker attack, which wiped everything on
   my ftp. But my mysql database is intact, can I build a new installation with 
   that? I really want to keep all my posts. I have tried making a new install, 
   and then changing the wp-config file so that it points to my existing database
   but when I open my page, I just get a blank page. I can access the control panel.

 * The new install is it same version you used before?
    You may be getting a blank
   page as you may not have theme you used before in wp-content try installing the
   theme.
