    HI

I’m getting the following error for this plugin:

    • ERROR: HTTP_REQUEST_FAILED: CURL ERROR 28: FAILED TO CONNECT TO GRAPH.INSTAGRAM.COM PORT 443 AFTER 5203 MS: COULDN’T CONNECT TO SERVER
    • ERROR: HTTP_REQUEST_FAILED: CURL ERROR 28: FAILED TO CONNECT TO GRAPH.INSTAGRAM.COM PORT 443 AFTER 5219 MS: COULDN’T CONNECT TO SERVER

Is there a fix for this issue?

I removed the account to see if I could add it again but it now tells me that I’m “not allowed to access this page.

    All very strange.

    Hello mate,

We’ve confirmed that this issue is affecting personal accounts.

If you have a business accounts connected to a page you can switch to the Business Account method.

While we have already submitted the requirements to Facebook for review, we would like to know if you can provide us with your Instagram username.

This would allow us to add you as a test user to the application, which would serve as a temporary solution for the new Facebook permissions requirements until it is definitively approved.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards, QuadLayers Support Team.

It shows added on Instagram via your link but when I click on blue button to add Personal Account, I get “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

I will keep trying over the coming days and maybe it might work eventually.

    Thanks

    Hi

It allowed me to add the profile inside the plugin and after clearing all cache on the site, it is now displaying the feed again. I had to change browser as the previous one was still showing an error but that must have been caused by the browser cache.

Thank you so much for helping to get this resolved and working perfectly again.:)

The feed came back again. Will continue to monitor and see how it goes.
I added a review for the support you provide as I know it’s Meta that’s at fault.

    Unfortunately the error came back.

    Hello @brightonseo,

We haven’t noticed this issue with any other users. The Facebook application is working correctly now, with all permissions approved.

It seems like this problem might be due to a limitation on your PHP server. The plugin sets the timeout to 30 seconds, but the error you’re seeing happens after 5205 ms, which is just 5 seconds.

Could you please contact your hosting provider to check if there’s a server limitation on PHP connections?

Even if we set the timeout to 30 seconds through the plugin, any server-level limitation will override this setting.

Please let me know what they tell you.

    Best regards

The timeout is set to 300 seconds. The widget has come back now so maybe there was a browser cache delay.

Insta display is working again so maybe it was just a temporary glitch in connection.

    Thanks

Client just told me that the instagram account is a business one. How do I go about adding a business account instead of a personal one?

I deleted the personal account and when I tried to replace it with the business account option, it asks me for my personal meta account which is not the client account.

I have the client instagram login but not the meta access.
