I’m successfully using this plugin on 4 separate sites. They are all hosted on the same server environment.

After about 3 months the Instagram access token seems to get revoked and we have to re-setup the User. No new images are auto-imported at this point.

Accessing the api.instagram.com/v1/users/XXX?access_token=XXX.YYY URL it returns an error code 400 “The access token provided is invalid.”

Do you know any reason why this would happen? Could there be something specific in our server setup, which would cause this timeout of the access token.

I noticed this happened to almost all of our Instagram users’ tokens around October 11th, they all got revoked.

I wonder if you noticed this around the same date, or if it’s specifically a 3 month timeout after each token was added?

The documentation does state that tokens can be revoked/expired at any point, so you should be prepared to detect this and go through the authentication flow again.

For me, it was about the first week of October. But it didn’t happen to all our sites. Just the ones on a certain server.

I wondered if there was something specific about our server config.

I guess the revoke came from Instagram.

Yep. Doesn’t work for me either.

For me, the issue was that the instagram account user had reset their password. Thus a new access token had to be created.
