# Instability

 * Over the three months I have had nothing but problems with WordPress remembering
   my admin login. Three times now I have had to uninstall and reinstall the script
   to correct the problem. It works fine abour 3 to 4 weeks then it craps out, forgetting
   my login information. Not only that, it also forgets my email address. Does anyone
   know of a more reliable and stable blog script?

    It does not
   look like WP, but even if you believe it to be so, I gave you a link to follow.

 * I am not shouting at you! If all of my other PHP/MySQL scripts work, why doesn’t
   this one? It is the same browser?

 * I do not know .. I clicked the link, I put in the pw, and as you can see I got
   access to your blog. It looked like perfectly normal behaviour to me.
 * What OS / Browser do you have ? Do you have any settings which could be considered
   to be out of the ordinary ?

 * I just tried all three browsers: IE, FireFox and Opera. And, all with the same
   results.

    What internet settings do you have ?

 * Here’s something else that’s interesting. I shut down Norton AntiVirus and my
   ZoneAlarm Pro firewall, opened up the FireFox browser and clicked on the link
   and it let me into the control panel without logging in.

 * Well, it also works with IE with Norton and ZoneAlarm off.

 * I have narrowed it down to Zone Alarm.

 * IT maybe blocking cookies or something….. although, I’ve never had that problem
   with ZA.

 * Check your cookies in ZoneAlarm through the privacy tab. By default ZA ‘cookie
   control’ is off but maybe your’s has been set higher? ZA also has the ability
   to expire cookies after so many days so check the ‘custom’ settings to make this
   isn’t set.
 * That’s ZA 4.5 anyway.
