# inspect element

 * when I look at the tutorials or videos on Inspect Element, It shows 2 panes below
   what is being inspected, in easily readable text. But when I try it, it is only
   in a narrow right panel that I need a magnifying glass to read, so not very helpful.
   Why don’t I get their view?

 * It depends on what browser you are using and also how you customize it.
 * You can learn how to use the [Chrome Developer Tools](https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/)
   or [Firefox Developer Tools](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools) 
   to help you see and test changes to your CSS.
