• Hello,

There seems to be a conflict between one of the newer versions of Woocommerce and the Insight Swatches plugin. I had also posted this in the Woocommerce support forum, but it was closed due to this most likely being a compatibility issue with this plugin as it’s not been updated in sometime.

When I originally set up the shop, I tested all the features to ensure that everything was working as it should. When I try to add a variable item to the shopping cart, it gives me an error message saying ‘Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart’ (see screen shot 1). In order for the product to successfully add to the cart, I need to select another option in the drop down menu and then reselect my desired size.

I’ve looked at this online and a Google search shows that this may be linked to a plugin or an issue with the theme (I suspect it may be something that’s happened in an update because this used to work or I’m losing my mind).

I’ve deactivated the ‘Insight Swatches’ plugin and the variable options starts to work again. However, if I re-enable the plugin, it breaks the variable options. I need help sorting this aspect out because I’m confused as to why this has started happening now and not when I originally tested the site.

I’ve been in touch with the theme author and he seems to believe that it’s an issue with how I’ve set up the variable products. I’ve set the products up in two different ways to test it. The traditional way by setting the attributes and options using ‘|’ and also using the attributes menu and both behave in the same way with the plugin.

I’ve set up multiple Woocommerce shops in the past and this is the first time I’ve encountered this error. The Insight Switches plugin is a required plugin for my theme.

    Many thanks,
    Dyers Remorse
