# Inserting Mp4 videos

 * I want to insert a Mp4 video to my site
 * I uploaded the video through media – add new.
    it uploaded the file but the file
   shows ” Error loading this resource”
 * and i inserted the video into a page also the same error appears in the page 
   also.
 * mine is wordpress 4.4.2 with IIS .
 * Am i missing something or do i have to ad a plugin to add mp4 video to my site.

   to add a plugin if you are going to add the items directly through the media 
   upload section. If you search the add plugin section for an MP4 player, you can
   use that to embed the MP4 into your website. Most plugins have a shortcode format
   that needs to be used in order to embed the videos.
 * Alternatively, you can always off-load the stress on your own server and use 
   a service such as YouTube or Vimeo and use their embed codes. WordPress should
   convert the embed code from YouTube and Vimeo to show your video without any 
   plugins. Please note that you have to agree to their service terms and conditions.

 * Hi again,
 * I did a little bit of searching because I remember being able to embed videos
   uploaded to WordPress directly and I remember that they added the feature before
   version 4. So you should be able to embed the video using the embed codes for
   WordPress. Please take a look at the link provided below:

 * Can you try that out and see if embedding using the video embed code? If not,
   there is probably something else that is wrong.
