  • I downloaded WordPress Download Monitor and when i try to insert a download into a post it just doesn’t seem to work at all. I have version 3.2 of WordPress.
I downloaded the plugin, created a custom format, but when I insert the shortcode into the post, I can only see a green line into the post! Is there something necessary I forgot to do?

  • Can you provide a link to the post you’re trying to insert a download into?

This post is just an example, I would like to let people be able to download the picture.

I’m not evening seeing a remnant of the link on your page. The download links are embedded using a.downloadlink

Maybe double check you’re inserting the shortcode when in Visual Mode, then double check your plugin settings.

Can you see it now? That green line is supposed to be the download link.

I see the green line, but I don’t really have enough familiarity with the underlying code for this plugin. You double checked your plugin settings and trawled the author’s usage guide already?

Yes, I followed the author’s guide step by step before trying to insert the link. Tried different custom formats for the download link, but none of them work, still see the green line only.

The only other suggestion I can really offer is deactivating all of your plugins then re-activating them one at a time. From the way the data isn’t being passed to the front side, I’m guessing you’ve got a conflict with another plugin. Sorry I couldn’t provide a more helpful answer.
