Support » Fixing WordPress » Inserting an image with apostrophe or quotes

  • I’ve found my ticket that corresponds to a bug that I have, but I think it needs resolved sooner, (Bug 6414)
as I insert pictures all the time that have captions or title’s with apostrophes and quotes in them that get parsed wrong now.

  • Still a bug in 2.6.2.

If I insert a photo and add a caption to it which includes a single quote (apostrophe) then the image is inserted but the caption is truncated (cut off) at the point where the apostrophe is.

Workaround: I can edit the inserted photo and add back the apostrophe and the rest of the caption without a problem. It is very annoying to have to do this, though!

I just found this to be an issue as well. Very frustrating! We can put in special character entities but that takes more time than just writing it normally.

I am having the exact truncation problem after the first appearance of an apostrophe.
