Support » Fixing WordPress » Insert Snippet at Cursor in New Post, Possible?

  • Hi all!
I am trying to find a way to insert a snippet at the current cursor position in the new-post/edit-post page. Basically I want to be able to maintain a list of snippets and then have the authors be able to inject that snippet into the post they are currently working on. For example the author could select “spoiler” and have “
spoiler text here
” inserted, or pick “Quick Review” and have “{[.ShotReview]}” inserted.

I have tried hacking about with the brilliant Article Templates plugin, and while I’ve got it to input what I want into the window, I can only get it to add text to the end of the current content and it has a horrible habit of messing up even one-row tables!

Is there another way to provide my authors with a snippets library?
