Insert sidebar on the right

    Hi there,

    I’ve got another question. I need a sidebar on the right side to make the plugin “side matter” for annotations work. I tried a few instructions but the sidebar doesn’t appear anywhere.

    Is this possible anyhow?

    Adding a sidebar to the theme would require some major structural changes to the theme. If you’re comfortable doing that, you’ll first need to create a child theme, so your tweaks won’t be overwritten when updating the theme. Here are some guides in case you haven’t made one before:

    You’ll then need to make some template changes in your child theme depending on whether your right sidebar needs to be widgetized or not.

    Unless you’re quite comfortable with HTML, CSS, and some PHP, it would probably be easier to find a theme that already comes with a right sidebar out of the box.
