# Insert Read More Tag

 * Hi,
    i have a problem with the list view of the Event posts – this does not respond
   to the “insert read more tag” of the editor (neither Classic nor Gutenberg). 
   Version 4.8.2 Theme: newspaper 9

 * Each calendar view uses wp_trim_words() to remove HTML and formatting from your
   events.
 * This can be overridden using our [Themer’s Guide](https://support.theeventscalendar.com/153124-Themers-Guide)
   and replacing some code, but this is what we cal a catch-22, read more here >

 * You should be able to use the read more tag within your single post pages, though
   you’ll need to change the way that this data is handled within the list view.
