# Insert Permalink in Post

 * I have a post with an image. I want to wrap a permalink in an a href tag around
   the image.
 * Since I can’t use PHP in the post, how can I add this:
 * `<?php the_permalink() ?>`

 * In the HTML editor, you can either type the link code in manually or you can 
   select the entire image tag and then use the “link” icon and insert the URL into
   the dialog box.
 * In the Visual editor, you can click the image, then click the little mountain
   icon to edit the image, then insert the URL into the dialog.

 * Yes, but I wanted to use the_permalink so the link code is dynamic. Is that possible?
