When I try to insert an image or a gallery into a post, nothing happens, but the console logs the following error:

Uncaught TypeError: Property ‘scrollTo’ of object [object global] is not a function jquery.js:2

Steps I have taken to try to isolate and/or fix the problem:

    1. Deactivated all plugins (including mu-plugins)
    2. switched to default Twenty Twelve theme.
    3. set define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true); in wp-config.php
    4. re-install WP 3.5.1 files
    5. delete and regenerate htaccess and flush permalinks
    6. flush browser cache, though the problem persists across multiple browsers

    Any other ideas?

  • The one thing I did not try was another browser. I tested in Firefox and all was fine, so I returned to Google Chrome and disabled all my extensions. It turns out that the recently added Better Popup Blocker extension was causing the problem. Extension deleted, and WP is back to normal! Definitely took me a day to think outside of the box.

And it took me 5 minutes to figure out because Google led me to your post here and I realised I just installed “Better popup blocker” this weekend.

    So thank you ! 😉
