 * A simple questin – how would I insert a generated forms id into the email that
gets sent? It would be used for easier reference – if you didn’t get an answer,
you give us the id you got in the email and than we check what happened to it,
   was it read etc.

 * I’m not sure if I understand your need though, inserting `[_url]` into the mail
body might help. See the doc for detail.

 * Heh sorry about not being clear enough. I meant the id of the form instance,
   or submission.
 * Every submission gets an ID in the database of CF7, so I would like to include
that ID in the outgoing emails.
 * So for instance, when I make the first submission, I would get an email that
informs me my message has an ID number 1.
 * The plugin Contact Form to DB Extension clearly outputs all submissions in a
table, so I guess there should be a way to output some form of an ID.
 * Basically, keeping track of all submissions – if the person in charge gets, for
instance emails with submissions 123467, then he/she automatically knows something’s
wrong since the submission 5 wasn’t delivered.

 * …”database of CF7″ The database is not CF7 it is part of that plugin.
    Perhaps
try the **Contact Form to DB Extension** plugin forum.
 * E.g.

   and [http://cfdbplugin.com/?page_id=367](http://cfdbplugin.com/?page_id=367)
 * But this probably means that the mail was send already and you may want to do
   something in-between ?!
