• Halo ! I’m considering using fourteen as my next theme, when i visited the demo website, i noticed a white space between grid and content (please take a look at the image in the link) . And for a moment i was thinking, why waste such space?

Is it possible for me to insert banner ad in that space? i notice it would have 2 column (cmiiw).

    thanks!

  • I came in looking for the exact same issue… Tried some inline coding which I know is bad news for a mediocre coder but ey…. I alway back up my stuff lol. I would also like to know the answer to this problem.

Seems when I set a featured image (and I have tried resizing it with WP imgage editore, it tends to be “underlapped” by my post.

edm3.net , check it out. Any suggestion or referals would be greatly appreciated.

What you are pointing to is the top padding of the content area, editable through using a child theme. It isn’t intended to be used for advertising, so using a child theme to add an ad would mean customizing a content area with the same attributes as the padding, or you could just make a sticky post.
