• Help! How do I insert ads, especially Google Adsense ads, into the blank left side of my blog? My theme is Veryplaintxt 3.0. My site is modemonitor.com

    Which file do I go to in theme editor? Where exactly do I insert the code? And how do I insert it so that it is centered on the left side of the page? I have no programming experience and this is very frustrating! I need step by step coding instructions.

    Also, and this is a silly question – how do I find out what version of Worpress I’m using?

    Thanks.

  • same issue, can’t find help.

    Hi All,

    I run several Joolma! Sites, and went to WP as my blog tool not too long ago. I’d also like to know what I can add left + right of my posts.

    As it is I run Google AdSense code in my posts, which have never been productive in terms of revenue.

    Any feed back would be great. I get over 100 hits a day on my Linux Blog.

    Regards,

    @dvn

    You can’t add anything to the left side of your blog because you have only 2 columns – one for the content and a right sidebar. To do what you want you’ll have to create another sidebar or find another theme.

    @jjmacey

    Add whatever content you want to either sidebar.php or left_sidebar.php
