    Hello,

I want to insert more a link in the tweet.
    [inlinetweet prefix=”” tweeter=”” suffix=””]Lorem dolor if some text http://bit.ly/abcxyz [/inlinetweet]

As i see deeper in the plugin, all the text in the [inlinetweet][/inlinetweet] will be replace as a text, remove all the link,…

So, is there anyway to add more link in the tweet message?
Can i define more a property in the [inlinetweet prefix=”” tweeter=”” suffix=”” morelink=”http://link.com”%5D and add it as a link in the tweet message?

Links that are included will be removed, but you can put links in the text, so if you for example do:-

    [inlinetweet prefix=”” tweeter=”” suffix=””]Find out more about http://wordpress.org here[/inlinetweet]

    It will be tweeted as:-

Find out more about http://wordpress.org here http://bit.ly/bitlyurlwillbe

    With both URL’s clickable.

I’m not 100% sure what you wish to do, and I cannot really see a use for what you are suggesting. However can be proved wrong 🙂

    Thanks!

    Rhys

    Hi Rhys,

    I had tried : [inlinetweet prefix=”” tweeter=”” suffix=””]Find out more about http://wordpress.org here[/inlinetweet]

But the link still is text. even updated in the : inline-tweet-sharer.php
    replace :
    $link = $extraclass . ‘<a class=”‘; to $link = $extraclass . ‘<div class=”‘;

That’s why i’m thinking about the morelink optional in [inlinetweet].

I’ll be honest, I’ve no idea why you want to do this, so I’m leaving it as a wontfix.

The issue is that you’ll have nested links, which I cannot see the point.

So, the link will be displayed as the following:-

    <div class="inline-tweet-link"><a href="Update Twitter Link">This is the quoted text. </a><a href="Link">This is a link</a>.</div>

If you click on “This is a link”, what should happen? Should the user be sent to the link? Or to the quoted text? I’m sure people will have different opinions, and it would confuse them.

So it won’t be something I’ll be fixing, sorry, but feel free to fork my code – it’s on Github – https://github.com/rhyswynne/inline-tweet-sharer and make changes to try and get it working :). I’ll be unable to help you as it isn’t my code but if you produce something I’d be delighted to take a second look.
