Support » Fixing WordPress » Insecure connection when in real view

  • Hi there!
    The issue:
When I’m viewing my site within WordPress, the connection (HTTPS), is secure.
When I’m visiting my site in real view the connection is not secure!
I have already taken the actions bellow:
    – Checked both WordPress and Site addresses in WordPress settings are in https.
    – Made sure my SSL is enabled
    – Re-upload all images in https
    – Installed/activated Really Simple SSL, SSL insecure Content Fixer and WP Force SSL plugins
Unfortunately, the issue is still there: connection is not secure!
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • When I click your link I get the “lock” fine in my browsers, because your link is HTTPS…

But if someone just types in your URL without https, it is not forcing HTTPS.

You need something that will force anyone going to your site to use the https…

Some hosts have a way to force HTTPS in their backend, others recommend a plugin like Really Simple SSL

I like to add a few lines of code in the .htaccess file.

Searching your host documentation on forcing HTTPS should show you the way they recommend.

I hope this helps get things working correctly!

I tried with all the suggested ways to fix the problem but unfortunately this persists. I can’t find any way to make my site to force the use of SSL!
    Thanks, anyway for your support.

It looks like I found a solution: Easy HTTPS (SSL) Redirection plugin.
The only one works for my site.
