I looked through the FAQ and forums, and couldn’t find this particular issue. When I try and fill out the fields on the contact form, simply clicking in one of the fields will launch an external mail client on my Mac and Mobile browser. How do I prevent this from happening? GoDaddy is the host, and I am using a theme from ThemeTrust. Thank you.

Just wanted to bump this to see if anyone has a solution.

Please include a link to your Contact Form 7 form and all your input in the Form and Mail sections of the CF7 interface. If others here are able to understand your actual problem, they may be able and willing to offer a possible solution.

    This is the contact page:

Click in any field in Chrome or Safari, and it will open an external mail client. Is there a simple fix?

    Thanks for any assistance.

Looks like you have some Javascript running on mouseover of each input box which activates the link mailto:bko@bkoaustin.com. If you don’t know how it got there I’d be checking if your site has been hacked.

Use Firebug or Chrome Dev Tools to investigate.

Thank you. This started immediately upon installing and activating the plug in. But I will investigate the hacking angle.

If it is not a hack, is there a way to fix this? Should I start by re-installing the plug-in?

There doesn’t appear to be any hacking. Any ideas on how to prevent the mail client from launching?

I think I figured it out. Thanks for the suggestions.
