Tried to uncheck automatic language recognition at Polylang settings and it didn’t fix the issue.
Anyway there is still an automatic jump because Polylang knows that /gl/ is the main language so when you go to the home page (no matter with which domain name), it makes the browser jump to /gl/ subdirectory. Maybe it’s forcing it as ANPADOIESDOMILLADOIRO.COM/gl instead of a relative /gl/ jump? (When you use Polylang there has to be always, at least, this first jump.)
Do you know if there is some incompatibility between your plugin and Polylang at this level?

Not ALL inner URL keep the alternative domain name: those related to the home page, in both languages, do jump:

unfortunately you have two things in your setup, that are not good for our plugin. first is polylang. we have stated in our description that we do not offer compatibility with those multi-language-plugins, since they use their own logic for domains and redirections, ans you already found out. second is that we did not intend to map whole websites, but only parts (so not the root domain). that does work sometimes but is not tested, so we can not help you with that topic.
but i suggest you try our partner plugin which is described here: https://www.falkemedia.at/multiple-domain-mapping-on-single-site-premium/
they also offer a premium version for enhanced functionality.

Will that premium version work with Polylang?
since this is developed by other people, i recommend you check their latest feature list or ask their support. so you will definitely get the correct answer 🙂

Sadly we cannot afford to pay those prices, even if it would work with Polylang 🙁
I think we’ll have to drop your plugin and search for an alternative.

Good news! Fortunately the free version of the plugin you suggested just did the trick! It’s compatible with Polylang: https://docs.domainmappingsystem.com/integrations-and-compatibility/wordpress-plugins/polylang
