    Hi,

    I have created a full width section with two columns. The split is 2/3 and 1/3. In the left column I have added an Inner Section. I would like this inner section to be no wider to the left than the content width. Does anyone know a simple solution for this?

    Best regards,
    Saskia

  • So you want basicly three columns and on the left side a margin so the content is not more left than in boxed sections?
    Do you have Elementor Pro?

    Hi @felaherz ,

    not quite.

    I would like to have a section with two columns that have different background colors, different widths (2/3 and 1/3) and occupy the full monitor width. There should be text elements in both columns, but they should be based on the content width, e.g. 1200 pixels, and not on the monitor width.

    Yes i have the Pro VErsion too.

    Okay, I hope, I got it right now.
    – Add a section with two column 50/50
    – Set section Content Width to Full Width
    – Set Background Colors to columns
    – Duplicate both columns (just ignore the padding around the empty cells in the editor preview)
    – Add Custom CSS to the outer left and right columns:

    selector {
        width: calc( (100vw - 1200px ) / 2);
    }

    – Add Custom CSS to inner left:

    selector {
        flex: 2;
    }

    – Add Custom CSS to inner right:

    selector {
        flex: 1;
    }

    Now the outer columns get half of the rest of all width above the max boxed size of 1200px in this case. Because of the columns are managed as Flexboxes the left columns gets 2 parts and the right columns 1 part of the remaining space.
    Here is my version:
