Support » Plugin: Collapse-O-Matic » Inline tag not functioning

  • Resolved wildeknight

    Hi Baden

I purchased the pro version of collapse-o-matic to close the gap between body text and target text using the Inline targpos feature, but I’m not getting the desired result. I’ve read many posts including Inline test but still no joy. I’m not an experienced WordPress developer and it’s probably a setting I’ve missed, but I really need your help please.

I’ve added text boxes to my home page using Visual Composer, to showcase client testimonials, some of which are too long and require a ‘read more’ collapse to keep the home page tidy. I managed to remove the text indent of target text with CSS, and now just need to remove the line break between body text and target text.

When I click the trigger link, target text is not inline and has a line break above it. I need the text to flow in line with text preceding the trigger text.

    Current settings:
    Tag Attibute = span
Tarttag attribute = div (if I change this to span, target text is expanded by default and line break is still there)
    Trigpos attribute = below
    Targpos attribute = inline
    Content filter = applied (ticked)

I’ve tried using the collapse-pro-matic settings to achieve the inline result and I’ve tried using the targpos=”inline” shortcode in the text box and neither are producing the desired result.

My apologies, I’ve never posted on the forum before and don’t know how to send you login details privately, which you’ll need if you want to look at the setup, as the website is currently ‘under construction’… please advise.

    Thank you.

For our pro plugin, please contact us via the support channel listed in the purchase receipt. Since your question also applies to the free version, we’ll try and answer your question here as well.

to close the gap between body text and target text using the Inline targpos feature

By close the gap, do you mean prevent the target from being placed on a new line? So you want the target content to be inserted ‘in line’ as shown in demo 1 of this post, correct?

If you contact us direct (check your purchase receipt) we can provide you a very personalized support experience.
