    Hello,
I’m trying to build several inline image galleries using Easy Fancybox. A good example of what I’m trying to do is on this site: http://www.joematteson.com/

This site is for a photographer and would like each of her galleries to open like the above site. Because this site is for someone that isn’t particularly computer savvy, updating the inline “galleries” needs to be somewhat simple. This is why I’m trying to use a plugin instead of just copying the code from another site. I have tried a handful of different ways but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

  • If you want to offer this as a relatively simple to manage thing then consider adding the NextGEN Gallery plugin. This can be made to work with FancyBox. See the instructions on http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-fancybox/faq/ under “Will a NextGen gallery be displayed in a FancyBox overlay ?” and “Can I use ONE thumbnail to open a complete gallery ?”

There are ways of doing it without any other plugins but I suppose they are not as intuitive for your client.

I don’t think next-gen is going to work. Unfortunately, the client picked out the type of gallery used on http://www.joematteson.com/. I still want to deliver the look she wants, so if that means I have to do in a way that makes it difficult for her to update it, that’s fine with me. Any suggestions?
